AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A pregnant Akron woman was shot Sunday morning, and her unborn baby was killed.

According to police, officers responded to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General at around 12:30 a.m. for a 29-year-old woman who had been shot.

The woman sustained significant injuries, and her unborn child did not survive.

The 29-year-old is still hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said no arrests have been made, but detectives are working tirelessly to investigate the incident.
