CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is entering the next phase of implementing artificial intelligence (AI) during the 2025-26 school year.

The project is in continuation of the district's approach to AI integration to support student learning, improve operational efficiency, and align CMS's four Pillars of Excellence: Academic, People, Operational, and Engagement.

“CMS is laying the groundwork for responsible, future-ready learning environments,” said CMS Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill. “We’re balancing innovation with safety and clarity to make sure our students and staff benefit from the opportunities AI can provide.”
