INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) -- Two Indiana State Police Troopers saved a girl from choking on Saturday at the Indiana State Fair.
ISP Troopers Vincent Scott of the Versailles District and Trooper Ryan Hale of the Fort Wayne District were partnered for foot patrols at the Indiana State Fair on Saturday.
At 9:20 p.m., Trooper Scoot observed a 14-year-old girl take a drink from a lemon shake-up and then grab her throat as she was choking and unable to breathe.
Trooper Scott went into action, performing the Heimlich maneuver, and was able to dislodge the object in the girl's throat allowing her to breathe.
Trooper Hale radioed for EMS assistance to examine the girl and was informed that she would make a full recovery.
