Heading into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2025 preseason slate, second-year wide receiver Ryan Miller was listed pretty far down the team's depth chart. Despite that, it wouldn't be entirely accurate to call Miller a long shot to make the roster, particularly since most coaches consider preseason depth charts worthy of little more than making paper airplanes.

In reality, Miller had a lot of things going for him in the quest to be among the 53 still standing at the end of next week's roster cuts. That included impressive work last season when the Bucs' injury corps was hit hard by injuries, knowledge of the offensive system, decent chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield and, oh by the way, the fact that he was already on the active roster for the last 11 weeks of the 2024 season, playoffs
