Federal Housing Finance Agency Director refers Cook to DOJ, while the administration continues to pressure the Federal Reserve on interest rates

President Donald Trump has publicly called for the resignation of Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lisa Cook, following a criminal referral to the Department of Justice (DOJ) by Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director Bill Pulte.

The referral alleges that Cook committed mortgage fraud by declaring two different properties as her primary residence within weeks of each other to secure favorable loan terms.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, President Trump wrote, “Cook must resign, now!!!”
