SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a multi-vehicle crash in Spartanburg County left one person dead on Wednesday.
Just before 6:30 a.m., a crash involving two vehicle occurred on Highway 101 near Kirby Road near Woodruff, according to troopers.
Highway Patrol said a disabled dump truck was stopped in the middle of the road when a 1997 GMC truck rear-ended the dump truck.
The driver of the GMC truck died at the scene. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office will identify the victim at a later time.
The crash remains under investigation.
