Gov. Gavin Newsom's press office continues to mock President Donald Trump’s approach to social media in a flurry of posts on X, a move that’s gained more attention recently as lawmakers push forward on a mid-decade redistricting plan .

Among the latest posts from the governor’s press office was a response to a recent post from Trump on Truth Social, in which he wrote “Bela.”

USA TODAY reported that the White House did not respond to a request for an explanation on Trump’s post. Some people online are drawing comparisons to his infamous social media gaffe in his first term: "covfefe."
