GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (ABC4) — After closing over one month ago, Grand Canyon National Park has reopened portions of the South Rim Corridor Trails.
Following the Dragon Bravo Fire, the corridor trails on the South Rim were closed on July 13, 2025, due to safety concerns.
After seeing significant air quality improvements, the Office of Communication shared that the South Kaibab Trail from South Kaibab to Tipoff, Tonto Trail from Tipoff to Havasupai Garden, and Bright Angel Trail from the Bright Angel Trailhead to Pipe Creek Resthouse have reopened.
The River Trail from Pipe Creek to South Kaibab Trail junction remains closed but is expected to reopen on Nov. 1, 2025. The Silver Bridge is expected to reopen on Nov. 26, 2025.
