Kevin MacLean was drinking a beer Wednesday when he says police officers burst out of an unmarked van and swarmed a downtown London pot shop.

At least a half-dozen officers rushed through the front door of the unsanctioned dispensary at 256 Richmond St., just north of Horton Street, said MacLean, who watched the raid unfold from a nearby pocket park.

“They went in hot,” he said about the police.

A locksmith soon arrived at the scene and could be seen working on the lock at the rear entrance to the business.

“No comment,” the locksmith said when asked what he was doing.

A woman who works at the dispensary spent nearly 20 minutes speaking with police officers inside the store before she exited and rode away on an e-bike.
