ENGLEWOOD – With the Broncos having injuries on the defensive line, they signed veteran Michael Dwumfour on Wednesday.

To make room on the roster for Dwumfour, the Broncos waived undrafted rookie linebacker J.B. Brown.

The Broncos lost defensive lineman Matt Henningsen for the season when he suffered a torn Achilles tendon on Aug. 7 in a joint practice with San Francisco. He underwent what was termed successful surgery last week. And undrafted rookie defensive lineman Kristian Williams has not practiced this week due to an undisclosed injury.

Dwumfour was one of four defensive linemen to work out for the Broncos on Tuesday. The others were Thor Griffith, Devonnsha Maxwell and Gavin Meyer.

Dwumfour was undrafted in 2020 after playing at Michigan for four seasons and Rutgers for one. He
