A Queens mother and her 6-year-old daughter have been deported to Ecuador after being arrested by ICE at an immigration court in Manhattan last week.
The girl was set to return to school at P.S. 89 in Elmhurst, Queens in a few weeks. Local and state officials are calling out the Trump administration for harassing people who appear for their immigration hearings.
State Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz joined "The Rush Hour" on Wednesday to discuss her work with the family's legal counsel and the Department of Education.
