PLAINFIELD, Ind — On Aug. 19, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration told KinderCare on Edwards Drive in Plainfield, its center is on a three-month probation for the violations it found earlier this month including negligence, abuse and the director failing to report the behavior.
FSSA Deputy Chief of Staff Marcus Barlow says they'll now do scheduled and drop-in inspections at the center.
Barlow said, "They'll be under heightened scrutiny. We'll really be looking into their operations and their plans moving forward to make sure that they correct those violations."
He says KinderCare can still care for children during probation, and violations are common in most childcare facilities. But this is another level of attention.
