The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is sending out text messages and email reminders to families of children ages 7-18 whose records show they might be due for routine vaccines, the agency said in an Aug. 20 news release.
Records in Colorado’s Immunization Information System show more than 470,000 children statewide are due for routine vaccines, the state health department said, including those required to attend K-12 schools.
Text messages will come from 45778 and emails will come from cdphe.vaccine.registry@state.co.us , the news release from spokesperson Hope Shuler said.
Students attending K-12 schools in Colorado are required to have received their final doses of the following vaccines or have an exemption on file with the state health department:
