OWOSSO, Mich. (WILX) - Small businesses in Shiawassee County met with Congressman Tom Barrett and U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler this week for a roundtable at Clark Engineering.

The discussion focused on provisions in the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which leaders say provide tax relief, incentives for research and development, and immediate business expensing.

“Whether it’s around taxes and the extension of the tax cuts and jobs act, whether it’s around expensing and research and development, whether it’s around no tax on overtime, whether it’s no tax on tips,” Barrett said.
