TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Feeling lonely is something that everybody can relate to. At the Troy Center, a rehabilitation and nursing home, staff are tackling that with a carnival celebration aimed at building community.

The carnival is part of “Care That Moves You Day”, a nationwide initiative by Centers Health Care to get residents moving and involved.

Christopher Byrne, Unit Manager RN, said that events like this allow for residents to feel connected with one another. "For a lot of the residents, they do have families, but their families don't always come in every day, and they get to see us, and we try to get engaged with them.
