Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee, who now goes by the name DY, will officially return to the music industry this week. Billboard of Latin Music 2025, which will be held from October 20 to 24 in Miami Beach.

Billboard reported this Wednesday, August 20, that for the first time since announcing his retirement from the stage in 2022, DY will participate in the panel "The Power of Reinvention," an "intimate and revealing" session in which he will "reflect on his legendary career, the evolution of his artistry, and how he's preparing for his next chapter."

The return of the 'King of Reggaeton' "marks another momentous chapter in history," said Leila Cobo, Billboard's director of Latin and Spanish-language content, in a statement.
