The health of quarterback Matthew Stafford has been one of the biggest questions surrounding the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the 2025 season, and things weren’t looking great when head coach Sean McVay described Stafford starting Week 1 as “putting the cart way before the horse.”

But with Stafford finally participating in practice this week, McVay sounds a bit more hopeful.

“I thought he looked better than Monday,” McVay said after Tuesday’s practice.

“I thought it was a step in the right direction, and we’re going to hope he can continue to stack days and feel good. That’s happened so far.”
