PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 48-year-old from Sandy was killed on Monday after a three-car crash on Hwy 26, Oregon State Police said.
Officers responded to the crash just after 1 p.m. at the intersection with Orient Drive.
According to OSP, the driver of a GMC Savannah experienced a "mechanical failure" and rear-ended a Honda Fit, driven by Bryan Ray Robinson, who was slowing to a stop at the traffic light.
The collision pushed Robinson's car into an Infinity QX5, which was stopped at the light.
Robinson was declared dead at the scene, while the drivers of the GMC and Infinity QX5 were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The highway was impacted for five hours, police said.
The crash is still under investigation.
