SKAMANIA COUNTY, Wash. (KPTV) - The family of a Washington man is still waiting for answers after he was found murdered at his campsite in Skamania county.

Jacob DeSha, 20, and his sister, Shayla Zachman-DeSha, camped out in National Forests a lot when they were growing up homeless.

Zachman-DeSha tells FOX 12 she was shocked to hear her brother went missing from his campsite back in July and then was found dead only yards away.

According to the Skamania County Sheriff’s office, Jacob Desha went camping with his stepdad Kevin Kunznicki back on July 17.

They set up camp about 14 miles north of Carson Washington in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, but Kunznicki did not spend the night at their campsite.
