GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in Green Bay are seeking a potential increase in the parking rates across the city, with the Common Council voting to approve a proposal Tuesday night.
The vote was 10-1 in favor of the proposal, which will increase the $1.00 parking hourly rate to $1.25 starting in 2026, as Green Bay's rates are lower than several similarly-sized cities.
Parking citation rates and late fees hadn't been increased in five years in the city, and the proposal called for a $2 increase in those rates starting in 2026.
