The San Francisco 49ers ' troubles at the wide receiver position to begin the season got a lot worse on Wednesday.

Per Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told KNBR that the league has suspended Demarcus Robinson for the first three games of the season for violating its substance abuse policy.
