WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A water main break left several businesses along the south side of Watson Boulevard without water Wednesday, forcing restaurants to close while other establishments found ways to stay open despite the disruption.

The city said they expect to restore water service by Wednesday night after crews install a valve to help restore water flow to affected customers.

Julie Sledge, owner of AJ's Confections and Confetti, discovered the water outage when she arrived at work Wednesday morning.

"Yeah, first thing I did was look at my checkbook. I was like, I know I paid that water bill and then I did, of course, so I said, 'Well, something must be up,'" Sledge said.

Despite the water being off, Sledge kept her confectionery shop open for business.
