SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One video circulating on social media shows shocking conditions at a Savannah State University apartment.

While that situation has been addressed, it’s raising a larger concern about the state of the complex.

One students tells WTOC that Friday was the day she moved into her University Commons apartment and by Saturday when she came back from an event, water began rushing from her ceiling.

Zauria Benson, says it left many of her and her roommate’s items damaged.

All of this happening just days before the start of the school year for students.

“The carpet was coming off the stairs, there’s stuff coming from the ceiling, the counters are all messed up,” said Benson.
