LINDALE, Texas — It’s been two and a half years since Hannah Evans, part of the Lindale High School graduating Class of 2023, experienced a life-changing skiing accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down and with multiple injuries.

She turned tragedy into purpose by giving back to the student and community that once supported her.

"In the beginning of things like that, you kind of start out feeling like there's no getting out of it, but now I'm on the opposite end," Evans said.

Evans says she now sees her future again, but this time in a way she never imagined, as a teaching assistant at her old school, Lindale Junior High School.

"This experience gave me an opportunity and a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be. And I just really felt like
