CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a fire on Wednesday on the 5300 block of Sandy Court Ridge.

There was a heavy amount of smoke coming out of the home when firefighters arrived.

Crews were able to get everything under control in 30 minutes.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians, but three dogs died in the fire.

Two people are now displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
