The mother and wife from a New Hampshire family found dead Monday allegedly used a handgun to kill her husband and two children before dying by suicide, state officials announced Wednesday.

Investigators identified the four family members as Emily Long, 34, Ryan Long, 48, son Parker Long, 8, and daughter Ryan Long, 6. A third child, a toddler, was found alive and uninjured inside the home in Madbury , a small town about 15 miles from Portsmouth.

Autopsies of both children showed the boy and girl died from single gunshot wounds to the head, according to Attorney General John Formella. Ryan Long, who worked as a school psychologist , died from multiple gunshot wounds. Emily Long died from a single gunshot wound to the head, the AG said.
