SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department has confirmed that two people have been hospitalized after a crash at a southwest-side intersection.

Around 6 p.m., SAFD responded to the intersection of Somerset Road and Cassin Road after receiving a report of a crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed one of the vehicles had ran a stop sign, crashing into another vehicle that ended up rolling into a nearby creek.

SAPD said the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the creek was ejected from the car.

Upon arrival, SAPD said they located the man in the creek and transported him to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials said the other driver was found with a laceration to his leg after also being ejected from his car. He was also taken to a local hospital.
