In a unanimous decision Monday night, Saanich councillors endorsed a zero-emission strategy with an ultimate goal of replacing the district’s entire fleet with electric vehicles by 2040.
The strategy aims for 100 per cent renewable energy and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 2040, which would include replacing municipal, fire, and police vehicles.
