NEWBURGH — Two people were arrested – one of them a woman tackled by a Warrick County Sheriff's Office deputy – during a town hall event hosted by Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith in Newburgh on Wednesday night.
The names of the attendees arrested, and their charges, weren't immediately available. As of 7:40 p.m., people were still inside the Ohio Township Trustee Office where the event took place, and police were collecting statements.
Warrick County Sheriff Mike Wilder told the Courier & Press the agency would not issue a statement Wednesday night, and did not immediately respond to additional questions.
