BROCKWAY (WTAJ) -- Brockway football is coming off its first district crown in a decade and hopes to build off last year's success in 2025.
"We won a district championship for the first time in 14 years, and the guys have taken the mentality that that's the standard now," said head coach Jacob Heigel.
The Rovers lose several key pieces like all-state wide receiver Blake Pisarcik who posted 1,600 yards of offense and 18 touchdowns last season, as well as leading tackler Johnny Varischetti. But Brockway brings back much, much more.
Defensive end Madox Decker recorded 13-sacks last year as a sophomore, and Caleb Daugherty posted 1,00 yards receiving. But no returnee is more important than all-state quarterback Aiden Patton who's 3,200 yards passing was fourth most in Pennsylvania.
