BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Train Robbers are mourning after the death of one of its players.

Nick Danbrowney, 22, died in a crash on Monday, according to a GoFundMe.

Details of the crash were not provided. The Pecos League said Danbrowney joined the Train Robbers as a pitcher in June after finishing his college career at Ramapo College in New Jersey, where he set a strikeout record.

Danbrowney's family set up the GoFundme to help offset the costs of a funeral.
