LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — An SUV flipped on its side in east Las Vegas, hit a meter and caused a water spill, according to valley officials.
Las Vegas Metro Police said a crash happened in the 400 block of North Nellis near Charleston boulevards just before 4:30 p.m. Police and the Southern Nevada Water Authority says the driver of an SUV left the roadway, flipped on its side, hit a fireline meter and caused damage.
The SNWA said it was not a water main break, “a fireline is a large diameter, above ground meter that provides water to commercial properties for fire protection, which includes any on-site fire hydrants (red hydrants) in the parking lot and any fire suppression sprinklers inside buildings.”
Officials say they were able to get the valve closed and say all customers are expected
