A Caldwell man was arraigned in Canyon County on Wednesday, accused of murdering his daughter.

Newly obtained court documents reveal the alleged motive of Delbert Cornish, 51, who is facing murder charges in the death of his non-biological 18-year-old daughter Hope Cornish.

Delbert is accused of killing Hope on Monday, Aug. 18, at a home on Blaine Street in Caldwell. He was arrested in Mountain Home and is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a crime.
