SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) -- The Springfield Police Department is investigating a train vs. pedestrian accident that took place Wednesday evening.

Just before 7 p.m., the department said traffic was currently blocked at 13th and Reservoir, heading northeast on the tracks into Grandview toward Dirksen Parkway. At the time, they told drivers to expect delays and to find other routes if possible.

But, as of 8:11 p.m., the department said that the train had been moved from the tracks.

WCIA reached out to the Springfield Police Department to find out if any injuries have been reported, but did not immediately receive additional information.
