CLARSKVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Clarksville firefighters are still pushing for better pay.

Currently, Clarksville firefighters’ salary starts at $44,000, but firefighters say this is not enough to make ends meet.

Clarksville Fire Rescue asked for a raise in the next fiscal year’s budget. That budget passed in June, but it did not give the firefighters the raise beyond the standard 2.5 percent provided to all city employees.
