BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The family of a man killed in Birmingham has questions about why the man accused of shooting their brother was mistakenly released from jail on bond last week .
The suspect, Terence Alexander, is back in custody. Alexander is accused of shooting and killing 31-year-old Taevon Arnold and injuring another woman on 14th Street North near 1st Avenue North.
Police arrested Alexander less than 24 hours after the shooting, but just days later, a clerical error allowed him to be granted bail and released from jail.
“When they made an arrest, I kind of felt at ease, but you know, we still have questions, like why?” said Diona Arnold, the victim’s sister.
