RANTOUL, Ill. (WAND) - Lincoln's ChalleNGe Academy has welcomed a new director to help shape the lives of Illinois youth.

The Academy said in an Aug. 20 press release that Ashley Leek will serve as the organization's new leader.

Leek is a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), a Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, a Safety Care Behavioral Safety Trainer, and is trained in person-centered care and developing trauma-informed environments.

The release also said that Leek serves as a licensed minister and motivational speaker, traveling to speak at conferences, churches and schools.
