TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Tallahassee commissioners addressed a variety of topics in their Wednesday meeting.

First, they unanimously approved over half a million dollars for the Palmer Munroe Teen Center.

Commissioners also agreed there is no need to close a section of Madison Street to cars, but they may explore more pedestrian-centered safety measures in the FAMU Way project .

People from the Tallahassee Immigrant Rights Alliance also spoke during public comment, once again urging city leaders to have the police back out of an agreement with ICE.

“We want to know we are being heard and you understand,” one alliance member said.

Police Chief Lawrence Revell previously said they signed the agreement with ICE to cross-train one detective.
