KIRTLAND, Ohio (WJW) - A Kirtland middle-schooler, 14-year-old Evan Lallo, is showing tremendous bravery battling and beating an aggressive cancer.

At first, his parents Megan and Matt Lallo thought he had a sports injury because he was playing lacrosse, basketball and football.

“He’s like man, my shoulder is really starting to bother me,” Matt said.

That was last June.

The Lallos took Evan for physical therapy treatments and everyone seemed to think it was tendonitis or a rotator cuff injury.

The symptoms would come and go until the fall when everything intensified.

“One day I picked him up from school, he said, ‘I couldn’t lift his pencil today,’” said Megan. “One thing led to another and it was the worst outcome we could’ve imagined. We were told he had a mass in his neck. It was
