A war of words erupted earlier this week between the White House and musician Jack White over the former White Stripes frontman’s criticism of Donald Trump’s decorating choices, Billboard is reporting.
The verbal jousting began when White posted on Instagram about Trump’s Oval Office interior decorating choices, sharing a photo of Trump meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
White described the decor as “vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy” and called it a “transformation” of the historic White House.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung furiously snapped back, calling White a “washed up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career.”
