ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A wanted person barricaded themselves inside an apartment Wednesday afternoon, according to Cobb County law enforcement.

There iwas a SWAT situation at Parkton Apartments on Mableton Parkway.

Law enforcement officials said the suspect, who has not been identified, is wanted for aggravated assault.

Based on information from witnesses and our crew at the location, police resolved the situation close to 7:00 pm.

Hours after the standoff and the massive police response, neighbors living in this Mableton apartment complex were still trying to process what they witnessed.
