PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Revitalization efforts for downtown Pine Bluff have been talked about for years and now people can see a difference.

On Wednesday morning, city leaders and partners gathered to break ground on Simmons Bank Park.

Mayor Vivian Flowers says the progress the city has been making over the years is now finally coming into fruition.

"This, I think, is a welcome addition to a very beautiful block of development that has occurred," Flowers said.

Simmons Bank Park is now open to the public with four kitchens, two bars, and a space for food vendors to set up on weekends.

Flowers says the park will give the city an economic boost while bringing together families. "It creates a presence and quality of life that hasn't been here in a long time, so we're just really excited," Flow
