BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - College student Nadine Pensak was left stunned and scared after a home invasion, and the intruder is still roaming the streets of Burlington.

“Late at night I’m woken by a noise outside my bedroom door... I was terrified... I thought I was going to get murdered,” said Pensak.

The 21-year-old says when the intruder couldn’t get into her room, he moved on to her roommate’s.

“This man had come into his room while he was asleep in bed and was taking stuff out of his room and downstairs into bags,” said Pensak.

Pensak called the police. When they came, the intruder opened the front door, saying he was invited. They arrested 48-year-old Dawon Randall, a homeless man.

That’s when the roommates surveyed the damage.
