Kluttz is an important recruit for Catawba head coach Allie Lyerly, a .500-hitter as a junior and the best player on a 23-4 team that had a lot of good players. East was the South Piedmont Conference regular-season champ, and Kluttz was honored as SPC Player of the Year and Rowan County Player of the Year.
