OWOSSO, Mich. (WILX) - Erik Jones has been driving in the NASCAR Cup Series for nearly a decade, but on Wednesday returned to his Michigan roots, competing in the ASA Stars Tour Michigan 300 at the Owosso Speedway.

Jones, a native of Byron in Shiawassee County, grew up racing at Owosso and says he is impressed with the vast improvements made to the track in the past few years.

Jones finished the race in 17th place as Bubba Pollard finished in first.
