GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Shortly before 8 p.m., the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) responded to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious bodily injuries, according to GJPD.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the pickup truck was traveling southbound on 29 Road and was turning east onto Four Corners Drive when he allegedly struck the motorcycle in the Northbound lane.

29 Road was shut down in both directions for emergency responders and will remain closed as GJPD continues to investigate the crash.
