Record-setting heat has put an additional layer of summertime stress on top of our long-lasting drought conditions. Yesterday we set a new record of 99° for our daytime high, with the previous high being 98°. Today we tied the record of 100° as well!
Sunny skies are sticking around tomorrow as we get even hotter, with our high of 102°! Which, too, would be a new record. Our average daytime high for tomorrow is 90°. This heat wave is not going last through the weekend, fortunately. While scattered and isolated rainfall chances are possible through Saturday, Sunday will be the start of widespread rainfall all across the Western Slope.
