Category 2 Hurricane Erin off the East Coast continues to cause chaos for many coastal states as it triggers massive waves and flooding for those caught in its path.

Hurricane Erin began as a tropical wave on August 11 before becoming a hurricane on August 15. It peaked as a Category 5 hurricane on August 16, and has been steadily declining in power as it moves parallel to the East Coast.

Despite losing strength over the past week, Hurricane Erin has posed a major problem for cities along the coast, particularly in North Carolina.
