Morristown West volleyball showed some fight but was ultimately swept by Volunteer (25-9, 25-21, 25-20).
The loss was the Lady Trojans’ (1-1) first for the season, but it was a good learning experience for a team that has a lot of new faces in the lineup.
After taking a punch in the first set, West was able to have the second set tied at 21-21. The Lady Trojans took another hit and trailed 24-14 in the third set, but they were able to extend the match with a six-point run before eventually falling.
