The San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 8-1 Wednesday night at Petco Park

Plenty of power, plenty of pitching and great glove work... those were the keys to a Padres win Wednesday night at Petco Park.

In the 1st inning, Fernando Tatis Jr. leaped and reached over the right field wall to rob a Rafael Devers of home run.

The Padres, who haven't been hitting many home runs recently, had plenty of power in this game.

Gavin Sheets hit 2 home runs, a solo homer in the 2nd and a 3-run homer in the 3rd. For the game, Sheets was 2-4 with 2 runs and 4 RBI.

Manny Machado and Ryan O'Hearn hit solo homers.

Starting pitcher JP Sears went 6 innings allowing just 1 run and 3 Padre relievers finished off the game with 3 scoreless innings.
